KOKRAJHAR: The Adivasi People’s Army (APA) on Monday came down heavily against the founder Deputy C-in-C of Birsa Commando Force (BCF) Biswal Dhanowar for his insulting comments on founder Chairman of BCF and present CEM of Adivasi Welfare Development Council (AWDC) Durga Hasda and warned him to stay away from such remarks in near future.

In a press meet in Kokrajhar, Pranjit Tudu, vice chairman of APA said Biswal Dhanowar who is the president of Ex-BCF Welfare Society and founder deputy C-in-C of BCF made insulting remarks against the CEM of AWDC Durga Hasda in some media houses recently questioning his ability as what will he do in the development council. He said Dhanowar being a responsible person in the society and founder C-in-C of BCF should have refrained from giving insulting comments against Durga Hasda. He said the insulting remarks of Dhanowar against Durga Hasda had hurt the sentiments of all members of BCF and Adivasi people as well. He said the founder chairman of BCF Durga Hasda became the CEC of newly formed AWDC after laying down of arms and ammunition on July 6 last in Guwahati.

“We want development of Adivasi people in all spheres and peaceful co-existence with all in the region,” he said adding that Dhanowar could not digest over Hasda becoming CEM of development council. He also said insulting Durga Hasda will imply the insult to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma as he wants to usher in peace and development of Adivasi people. He asked Dhanowar to tender apology before the Adivasi people for his insulting remarks immediately.
