Adivasi People's Liberation Army cadre arrested in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: Based on specific inputs, Territorial Army troops of Rupai Battalion of Red Shield Division launched an operation along with Bordumsa police and apprehended an active APLA (Adivasi People's Liberation Army) cadre in Dangari Charalli of Tinsukia district on Tuesday. The swift action of the security forces resulted in the apprehension of the active cadre identified as Bablu Bhuyan (34) of Karbi Anglong who confessed that he belonged to APLA outfit. One USA made 9mm pistol with one magazine and five live rounds were recovered from his possession. He was handed over to the police for further investigation.
