Advanced treatment sought for litterateur Homen Borgohain at GMCH

LAKHIMPUR: Homen Borgohain, the prominent intellectual figure, journalist and litterateur of the State, has been under treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) since he was detected positive for coronavirus infection. But his health condition has still not improved. This news has worried his admirers and fans.

A section of his followers has alleged that Homen Borgohain has not recovered from the ailment as he is not receiving the proper healthcare which he should get as a senior COVID-19 patient. The Dhakuakhana Sakha Xahitya Xabha, Lekhika Samaroh Samiti, Dhakuakhana Press Guild, Dhakuakhana regional unit of All Assam Students' Union, through SDO (Civil) of Dhakuakhana, submitted a memorandum to State Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma demanding for Homen Borgohain's advanced treatment.

On the other hand, the people of Dhakuakhana, on Wednesday evening, lit earthen oil lamps at the doorstep of each household praying for the immediate recovery of Homen Borgohain, who is the pride of Dhakuakhana and Lakhimpur district.
