GOLAGHAT: The advocates of Golaghat Bar Association staged a one-hour sit-in in front of the office of the Golaghat Bar Association on Thursday demanding resumption of normal functioning of courts and reopening of bar rooms and offices of the Bar Association.
In this context, the president of Golaghat Bar Association, Mohen Dutta said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bar libraries were not open and courts were not functioning normally. As a result, the advocates were facing hardships and an uncertain future.
Further, Dutta said that executive offices and courts were allowed to run with hundred per cent attendance but bar libraries had not been allowed to re-open. The members of Golaghat Bar Association demanded resumption of normal functioning of courts and reopening of bar rooms and offices of the Bar Association.
