GOLAGHAT: The Central Government and the State Government have released the amount of commission allotted for the agents of fair price shops in the month of August. But in Golaghat, the agents did not get their commission amount till date.

Golaghat District Fair Price Dealers' Association has reacted on this matter and raised allegations against officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department for such anomalies. In a press statement, Golaghat District Fair Price Dealers' Association president Bharat Bora, executive president Pranob Kumar Saikia and secretary Lachit Das stated that the Food and Civil Supplies Department in Golaghat had all the records of each and every agent but yet the amount of commission released in the month of August had not been deposited in the respective bank accounts of the agents.

They raised allegations against a senior head assistant of the department for her negligence. The Fair Price Dealers' Association has requested the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat to take adequate steps in this regard.
