AGP does better in comparison to Congress in Sarupathar

SARUPATHAR: The Parliamentary election 2019 result in 94- Sarupathar LAC has come as a shocker for Congress in comparison to 2014 Parliamentary election. In 94- Sarupathar LAC Moni Madhab Mahanta (AGP) secured 1,05,132 votes and Gaurav Gogoi (INC) secured 75,472 votes. In 11- Kaliabor constituency Gaurav Gogoi (INC) shone in overall and secured 7,86,092 votes (55.18 per cent) and Moni Madhab Mahanta (AGP) overall secured 5,76,098 votes (40.44 per cent). On the other hand, Abdul Aziz (NPP) overall secured 9,903 votes (0.70 per cent), Diganta Kumar Saikia (HND) overall secured 5,712 votes (0.40 per cent), Hariqul Islam Bhuyan (AJM) overall secured 5,270 votes (0.37 per cent), Jiten Gogoi (IND) overall secured 18,344 votes (1.29 per cent), Bhaskar Sarmah (IND) overall secured 7,355 votes (0.52 per cent) and NOTA votes were 15,913 votes (1.12 per cent).
