AIDSO opposes decision to hold NEET and JEE in September

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur district committee of All India Democratic Students' Organization (AIDSO) has strongly opposed the Union Government's decision to hold JEE (Main) and NEET in September, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, the activists of the organization staged protest at Sukulibhoria near North Lakhimpur town on Monday as per instruction of the State body. According to the organization, the government decision would expose a major part of students concerned to health hazard and increase chances of virus transmission. The development may put several lives at risk at a time when all States were striving hard to tide over the coronavirus crisis. While staging the programme, the protesters shouted various slogans demanding the scrapping of the government's decision.
