Aiming to make world class library for Bodoland University: HOD Library Department

Kokrajhar: The Bodoland University Library Department organized two days long colorful Book Exhibition for the first time for the greater interest of students, professors, research scholars, Ph.D. holders and readers at Bodoland University campus Deborgaon in Kokrajhar district.

A total of 15 bookstalls were allotted to booksellers from Delhi, Allahabad, Silchar, Assam, Guwahati and other Bodoland Territorial Council areas. The exhibition was started at 25 and concluded on 26 November.

Dr. Sangrang Brahma HoD Librarian of Bodoland University termed that the Bodoland University VC allotted Rs 1 lakh each to 18 departments to purchase departmental essential books so that they can keep in their library without a shortage of books in the university.

He said that many students, teachers, readers, research scholars, Ph.D. holders were thronged to the exhibition and purchased many of their essential books from the books exhibition.

Brahma said that he joined recently in Bodoland University as Head Librarian and I was working as a head Liberian at CIT Kokrajhar.

He said that my aim to make Bodoland University Library world-class library in India, Asia, etc in the future for students, readers, Professors, Research Scholars, etc.

Professors, readers and sellers have expressed their happiness that this type of book fair or books exhibition is helpful and we can read more books and able to gather knowledge in their day to day lives.
