AJYCP takes out torch rally against CAB in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: As the opposition against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment )Bill, 2019 gathers momentum, Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) took out a torch rally from their office in the evening of Thursday while raising different anti-CAB slogans. General secretary Rajib Gogoi stated that their democratic agitation would be intensified if the Central Government failed to withdraw the CAB. They vowed to exercise uncompromising resistance to CAB, 2016, that was being imposed on the Assamese people by gagging their voice and aspiration. Similar agitations were also carried out in different places of the town on Thursday. The students' union of Dibru College along with AASU staged a sit-in in front of the college in stiff opposition to CAB. Moreover, in response to the call given by Assam Sahitya Sabha, Dibrugarh district unit of Assam Sahitya Sabha in association with Town Committee, has decided to stage a sit-in against CAB on Friday from 11 am at their office premises.
