DIBRUGARH: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJYP) stated that a new tea auction centre should be set up in the State for employment generation of the youths in Assam. While speaking at the 21st foundation day of AJYP at Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaruah Bhavan in Dibrugarh, AJYP general secretary Udayan Kumar Gogoi said, "We urge the government to set up the tea auction in any district of Assam, so that the employed youths of Assam can get jobs here. Tea is produced from Assam and the auction centre was set up in Kolkata, which is unfair. So, we demand to set up a tea auction centre in Assam."
"We demand Assam flood to be declared a national calamity. Every year, due to floods many people lose their lives. The Central Government should immediately declare flood as national calamity," Gogoi further said.
He added, "The youths should come forward to solve the corruption problem in Assam. The youths are the future of the State, therefore, they should work for the betterment of the society." "The Assamese community and language have been facing numerous challenges. Therefore, the youth should play a proactive role for the growth of the language and the community," he said further.
