All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), AJYCP submit memorandum to Lakhimpur DC

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur district units of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) submitted memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Dr Jeevan B calling upon him to ensure extensive measures to prevent the possible outbreak of COVID-19 in the district.

By submitting the memorandum on Friday, both organizations called upon the DC to ensure twenty four hours medical services in each and every hospitals and area level health centres under the district along with minimum health facilities. In the same memorandum, the organizations demanded him to ensure due screening at all bus and train stations and the Lilabari airport to all the passengers who came to the district from outside of the State and to ensure the availability of the supply of preventive equipment like hand sanitizers and due masks in the district. They further demanded him to make announcement in the rural areas about the precautionary measures to be taken to prevent the possible outbreak of the pandemic through mike and to take steps to ensure the continuity of all essential services.
