NAGAON: Amidst ongoing massive protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) bill, 2016, BJP State president Ranjeet Dass on Wednesday faced a fresh protest with black flags from the activists of Nagaon district AASU.

Some activists of district unit of the students’ union on Wednesday noon showed black flags to Dass near the Khagen Mahanta auditorium in Nagaon town when he was on the way to attend a party programme held at the auditorium.

The AASU activists shouted various slogans against the BJP-led alliance government and termed the saffron party and its government as betrayers.

The activists said that the AASU would not sit quietly. Rather, the organization or the students’ community would launch massive protests in the State against the suicidal bill until and unless it was scrapped.

Following the demonstration, police personnel on duty rushed to the spot and sent back the activists of the students’ body.
