All Assam Students Union anti-CAA protest stir at Bijni

BONGAIGAON: The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Bijni branch committee staged an anti-CAA demonstration on Wednesday at Bijni. They burnt the effigy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. They also shouted anti-CAA slogans. On the other hand, activists of the Ulubari branch committee of Bijni subdivision also burnt effigies at Ulubari. Talking to media persons, Tiken Ray, president of AASU Ulubari branch, said that they would continue their agitation till the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) was withdrawn. "We never accepted CAA and never will," he said.
