All Assam Students' Union, Dibrugarh district committee stages anti-CAA stir

Naharkatia: At the call from the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Dibrugarh district committee and under the aegis of Naharkatia, Namrup and Sasoni units of AASU, a two-hour sit-in was staged to demand the scrapping of the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) in Naharkatia, Namrup and Sasoni.

Around 100 protesters took part in the protest and shouted various slogans against the government. The president of AASU Naharkatia, Ritupan Gagoi said, "We will continue our agitation till the Act is scraped."
