All Assam Students Union protests against farm bills in Sivasagar

DEMOW: After the appeal of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Sivasagar district committee, the Demow Regional Students' Union burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Demow Chariali at NH-37 Road on Thursday in protest against the Farm Bills and the decision to withdraw rice, dal, potato, onion and mustard oil from the list of essential commodities. The activists of Demow Regional Students' Union shouted various slogans against the BJP government and demanded that the 'anti-farmer' farm bills should be scrapped.
