All Assam Students' Union protests against price hike of essential commodities in Gaurisagar

GAURISAGAR: The regional units of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Gaurisagar, Dikhowmukh, Hatighuli and Charing jointly staged a protest at Gaurisagar on Monday, in response to the call of the AASU Sivasagar district committee, in front of Gaurisagar ASTC bus stand complex besides NH-37 against hike of essential commodities as well as sky-rocketing prices of fuel. The AASU activists shouted various slogans against the government for failing to control prices of essential commodities and displayed various placards.

DEMOW: After the appeal of the All Assam Students' Union, Sivasagar District Committee, the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), Demow Regional Committee protested in Demow Chariali at NH-37 Road on Monday against price rise of petrol, diesel and essential commodities. The AASU, Demow Regional Committee activists shouted various slogans against the Central and State governments and the State Food and Civil Supplies Minister and demanded the government to check the price rise of essential commodities at the earliest.
