KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) organized a Special Orientation Programme for UPSC/APSC Civil Services and Indian Forest Service examination.
The programme started from June 25 at Kokrajhar for six days at six different locations- Bijni, Nikashi, Udalguri, Tezpur and finally in Guwahati. The special orientation programme was made open for interested candidates through Google Form registration, where 1,447 registered and attended in six locations.
The vice president of the ABSU, Kwrwmdao Wary said the objective of organizing such an orientation programme was to create better awareness amongst the civil services aspirants and to inspire them to strive for such services, though belonging from diverse socio-economic-educational background and irrespective of any medium of education.
On all the six days, special invited guest Jitender Kumar Bhardwaj, Director of BEACON IAS, gave the aspirants an understanding of the UPSC and Civil Services examination. Wary said that many serving civil servants supported the orientation programme by sharing their experiences and providing useful information to crack the civil services exam. He also said the last day in Guwahati culminated with the presence of Hiren Nath, ADGP (SB) Assam Police. He encouraged candidates to put in hard work to crack the civil services examination.
