KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) on Wednesday mourned the demise of Hitesh Kr. Mashahary (58) who was suffering from prolonged illness and diagnosed with multiple ailments. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Guwahati.
He leaves behind his wife, Eyunty Mashahary, assistant teacher at Dwimu ME School and three children. The assistant general secretary of the ABSU, Kwrwmdao Wary said that Mashahary was UPPL candidate for the ensuing BTC election from No.12 Salakati BTC constituency. Mashahary was born on September 1, 1964. Apart from his social work, he actively participated in the Bodoland movement. He also held different portfolios in various organizations. Wary said that Mashahary's demise was an irreparable loss to the society.
