All Rabha Students’ Union expresses concern over loot by unidentified miscreants in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Armed miscreants looted Rs 1,20,000, two gold chains and two mobile phones from a house at Bolamguri Rabapara under Karigaon police outpost in Kokrajhar on May 28.

According to sources, four miscreants carrying arms entered the house of one Taruna Rabha and looted Rs 1,20,000, two gold chains and two mobile phones. Taruna Rabha is a businessman who runs a tea shop and a piggery farm.

The victim said the miscreants identified themselves as NDFB cadres and threatened the family. The miscreant also asked him to keep another Rs 3 lakh ready. An FIR has been lodged in Kokrajhar Police station.

The All Rabha Students’ Union (ARSU) has strongly condemned the incident and urged the police administration to investigate the matter and arrest the culprits involved. ARSU Kokrajhar district general secretary Bindu Rabha expressed serious concern over the incident and appealed to the police administration to ensure the safety and security of the people in the area.
