All Tea Tribes Students' Association celebrates International Labour Day

DEMOW: Under the patronage of the All Tea Tribes Students' Association (ATTSA) Sivasagar district, in Association with ATTSA, Demow, Nazira and Amguri Branches, the International Labour Day was observed in Demow Athabari Chah Labour Kalyan Kendra on Sunday.

On the occasion of International Labour Day, a 'best labourer' was selected from every tea estate of the area and felicitated with a phulam gamosa and a citation by the organizers.

A representatives meeting of the ATTWA was also organized where the ATTWA, Sivasagar district was formed. Biswanath Nag, secretary of ATTSA, Demow Branch delivered the welcome address in the programme. Shiva Prasad Bhadra, Chairperson of Assam Chah Nigam, Diganta Sahu Tasa, Vice-Prrsident ATTSA, Central Committee were present in the programme as Chief Guests. Babul Sahu,ATTSA Central Committee leader and Amit Garaik were present in the programme as observers.

In the programme the ATTSA, Demow Branch leaders along with representatives of ATTSA, Nazira and Amguri Branches and former ATTSA leaders were present.
