Alleged anomalies in allotment of PMAY houses in Mangaldoi, Assam

People in Janaram Chouka village panchayat of Mangaldoi are complaining the alleged anomaly in the name of Prime Minister Awas Yojana house allotments. The people, deprived of the benefits of the central housing scheme, are of the opinion that the houses are being allotted to people who do not need PMAY housing and on the other hand, the real beneficiaries are deprived of their rights and benefits.

The deprived beneficiaries, thus, in protest of the alleged anomaly in PMAY house allotments, surrounded the panchayat office and demanded an apt solution from the state government. There are patients of deadly diseases as well among the deprived beneficiaries who are left with no other way but to request the BJP government for an adequate measure in this regard and make sure that the allotment of houses are done to the real beneficiaries instead of the ones who do not need a free house.

The local people allege that the PMAY housing facilities are being provided to families who even have two government job holders in the same family. On the contrary to this, the real and deserving beneficiaries are deprived of the housing facilities despite paying money for it.

This has forced the people to meet the local BJP MLA of the constituency and place their request to the BJP government through the representatives. The local MLA is also being requested to come for an inspection of the PMAY housing projects as these houses are being constructed amid greater irregularity.

as the PMAy housing facilities are meant for the families without a pucca house to live, there is no reason for these being allotted to the families who has the capacity to afford a house for themselves.
