DHUBRI: The Two-day state annual conference of Simanta Chetana Manch Purvottar 23 got underway at Dhubri District Library Auditorium from Saturday. At the onset of the open session, president of reception committee, Udayan Chakraborty welcomed the delegates coming from 9 international bordering districts of Assam and expressed satisfaction for organizing this conclave of the Manch here in Dhubri while State general secretary of the manch, Debasish Dutta presented his secretarial report of 2022-23.
Speaking in the open session as the guest of honour, Dhubri District Commissioner, Dibakar Nath lauded the activities of Simanta Chetana Manch in Dhubri bordering areas for the people living in the villages.
Nath said it wouldn’t have been possible for district administration to organize the Republic Day this year at Satrasal border village, had the activists of Manch not cooperated in a short span of time. “If manch has any plan for the socio-economic development of border villages, they may come forward with it to me or place it to the State government. We are are ready to implement it,” Nath assured.
Addressing the open session, National Co-ordinator of Sima Jagaran Manch, A.Gopal Krishan called upon the activists of the Manch to infuse the national unity and integrity among the people living in the bordering villages.
Former DGP of Assam who also served as the SP in Dhubri district, Pradip Kumar addressed the session. He acknowledged that he had only just become involved with the manch but praised A. Gopal Krishan ji and Pradipan ji for his unwavering devotion for nation building.
