Annual conference of Srimanta Sankardev Namdharma Samaj to be held at Sootea

JAMUGURIHAT: The third biennial conference of the Biswanath district committee of Srimanta Sankardev Namdharma Samaj will be held at Sootea. In this connection a public meeting was called on in the namghar premises of Saraijania village today with Dharma Kanta Saikia, president of Sootea regional committee of Srimanta Sankardev Namdharma Samaj. The district annual conference will be held on December 23 and 24 this year with the hospitality of Sootea regional committee. Lakshmi Kanta Saikia, president of Biswanath district Srimanta Sankardev Namdharma Samaj, vice presidents Ajit Choudhury and Santosh Barua, secretary Duli Koch beside other office bearers of the district committee graced the public meeting as observers. After a detailed discussion, a celebration committee was formed with Dev Kumar Bormudoi, president, Dilip Bodo as working president, Prabin Rajbanshi as secretary along with other members and sub-committees. The committee also proposed Biswanath MLA Pramod Borthakur as chief patron, Bhupen Dadhora as patron and Shiva Ojha and Durgeswar Bora as advisors.
