Annual training camp for NCC cadets underway At Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: The Annual Training Camp (CATC-122) for 2019-20 of 10 Assam Battalion NCC, Dibrugarh under the aegis of Group Headquarters NCC, Dibrugarh commenced on January 18 at IWT location (near NCC complex, Dibrugarh

Col Joydeep Goswami, Commanding Officer of 10 Assam Bn NCC, welcomed over 300 NCC cadets from 35 schools and colleges from the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar and Charaideo on the opening day. The aim of the 10 days’ camp is to develop character, camaraderie, discipline, leadership qualities, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless sacrifice amongst the participating cadets. The camp will also cater to career counselling of the cadets and their personality development.

The emphasis during the camp will be on physical fitness, yoga, drill, weapon training, map reading, specialized military subjects and cultural development. Special emphasis will also be given to Swachha Bharat Abhiyan with cadets carrying out a special march through the town of Dibrugarh to motivate the community on the aspects of Swachhata.
