BONGAIGAON: "There are many anomalies in defining the area of Kamatapur Autonomous Council (KAC). Several villages with cent per cent Koch-Rajbanshi population have not been included in the council," claimed Traloikya Ray and Dharmendra Ray, president and secretary of Koch-Rajbanshi Yuba Chatra Sanmilani, on Monday.
In a press release, both leaders demanded that such villages should be included to KAC. "Villages like Ghondol, Batabari, Kandulimari and Hollaguri in Bongaigaon district have almost 100 percent Koch-Rajbanshi population. In Goalpara district also several villages are dominated by Koch-Rajbanshi population. We demand that such villages should be identified and included in KAC," they said.
