Tezpur/Biswanath Chariali: The Anti-Plastic Campaign, 2020 was launched at Behali Degree College, Borgang on Saturday. State Minister for Handloom and Textile, Ranjit Dutta launched the campaign in the presence of international delegates Dr. Sivaramu Mariappan and Sathia Roganathan, president and secretary of Sithi Global Organisation, respectively, and Sugan Anamalei, Ambassador for Sports, Sithi Global Organization, at the inaugural ceremony of the campaign. With a theme of Green, Clean and Healthy Assam, Morning Club of Bedeti in Biswanath district initiated this campaign.
In the inaugural ceremony, the office-bearers of Morning Club felicitated Sanyukta Sarmah of Cotton University and Himangshu Raj Borah of Darrang College who had represented Assam in the 14th International Youth Peace Festival concluded recently. The campaign will be a six-day long programme.
Meanwhile, Behali Degree College signed membership with ICT Academy and exchanged the Academic Membership Certificate on Friday in the presence of minister Ranjit Dutta, District Magistrate of Biswanath, A Ahmed and the delegates from abroad.
Dr. Jiban Ch Nath, Principal of Behali Degree College, received the membership certificate from Narendra Kumar, Senior Manager, and Subhash Upadhyaya, Relationship Manager of ICT Academy. With this, ICT Academy will provide the skill training to its faculty members and students on trending ICT skills along with other services such as collaboration for research conference, access to ICT Academy research journals, corporate partnership programs, free software and access to educational content, support for conducting seminars in the campus and exclusive invite for industry-institute interaction events organized by ICT Academy and invite for students to participate in the national leadership and innovation contests conducted by ICT Academy. Sanyukta Sarmah and Himangsu Raj Borah also participated in the event.
