GUWAHATI: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) cancelled the recruitment process for the posts of Deputy General Manager (Law), OCFA Sahayak and driver (fresh) category due to administrative reasons.
The APDCL in two separate notifications said that the recruitment process for these three posts has been cancelled.
Earlier an allegation has surfaced from an Assam Man claiming a senior lady official of the Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) lured and compelled him to donate his kidney for her ailing husband, with a job and plot of land.
According to reports, Karabi Deka, CGM, APDCL promised Hirumoni Saikia from Nagaon with a job and a plot of land to donate a kidney for her ailing husband.
Saikia alleged that he donated one of his kidneys for Deka's husband but she did not fulfil the promise made to him. On the contrary, after her husband's kidney transplantation, she cut the connection with him and never permitted him to meet her.
"I have donated one of my kidneys to APDCL CGM Karabi Deka's husband. She promised me that she would give me a job and a plot of land. After the kidney transplantation she stopped connecting me," he alleged and demanded steps against the official. Deka's husband is a college professor, sources said.
