DONGKAMUKAM: The United Khasi People’s Organization Karbi Anglong Central Committee, (UKPO KACC) met Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Sniawbhalang Dhar regarding the recent violent incident in Khanduli along the Assam-Meghalaya border.

The leaders of UKPO KACC urged Deputy Chief Minister Dhar, who also happens to be the local MLA of Nartiang, to stop violence in the border village. Dhar assured formation of a peace committee in Khanduli. He also appealed to the Khasi community of Karbi Anglong to live in harmony with the Karbis.

The president of UKPO KACC, Rattane said that there should not be any animosity between the communities living in Karbi Anglong.
