Guwahati: In a very shocking event, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) gave out Sociology questions in Social work question paper. The APSC aspirants, who sat for the exam for the post of Child Development Development Officer (CDPO) were shocked after receiving the question paper.

The candidates outside Guwahati's Arya Vidyapeeth college were seen disheartened because of the question paper.

"The applications for the post were out in February 2019. We have already appeared for two papers, and this was our third paper, which is optional. Each and every question is from sociology discipline. We could not attempt a single question correctly," said a candidate.

Another candidate said that these two are very different subjects and the government should have known the difference between the two.

Many of them came from different parts of the state to appear for the examination. They are demanding for a re-exam, and are also asking for the re-checking of the question paper by the eminent scholars of the state from both the Social Work and Sociology disciplines.
