Apurba Kumar Sarma Memorial Award conferred in Nalbari

NALBARI: Nalbari unit of Assam Pradesh Journalists' Union (APJU) conferred the Apurba Kumar Sarma Memorial Award to Barbhag correspondent of Asomiya Pratidin, Dandiram Das on Friday.

Scribe Apurba Kumar Sarma embraced untimely death. The Nalbari unit of APJU has been conferring this award in his memory. In continuation with the award-giving ceremony, a memorial meeting to recollect his contribution to the society was organized by the journalists' union at Nandeswar Saikia Sabhagriha. ADC Chayanika Thakuriya, Champak Baishya, the president of Nalbari unit of APJU, District Information and Public Relation Officer Chumpi Chutia, Sanjib Goswami and many dignitaries attended the meet.
