Arms and ammunition seized from Baghmari area in Biswanath district

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Based on secret information regarding the presence of arms and ammunition in a house in the Baghmari area, police conducted raid in the house and premises of one Hekmat Ali (35), son of Md Abdus Salam of Niz Baghmari village under Gingia PS in Biswanath district on Wednesday night.

During the search operation, police recovered five .303 bdr ammunition, 1 magazine, 1 bold, 1 silencer pipe kept hidden in a dry jute stick outside his kitchen. The arms and ammunition were seized in the presence of independent witnesses. In this connection, a case vide Gingia PS 75/20 u/s 25(1A) Arms Act was registered. The accused person was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
