Guwahati: At least 11 stores and property worth crore of rupees were gutted in a fire that broke out in Laharighat's Garam Bazar in Morigaon.
Reportedly, the fire which broke out in the early hours of Friday is believed to have originated from a tailor shop in the market.
As per the initial report, the main cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit that spread from one shop to another.
However, the alerted residents managed to stop the fire from spreading further.
As soon as the fire department received the information, they rushed to the spot, and with the help of four fire trucks, they controlled it.
