Arunodoi scheme will be well received by people: BJP leader Santiuse Kujur

TANGLA: BJP leader Santiuse Kujur has claimed that the Arunodoi scheme that seeks to provide a monthly sum of Rs 830 to 19 lakh economically backward households in the State, will be well received by the people and will go a long way in establishing the pro-people welfare initiatives of the BJP government in the State.

Kujur, along with BJP workers, visited a number of BPL families in Tangla town of Udalguri district on Tuesday evening comprising widows and daily wage earners and provided insights of the scheme and distributed the forms of the scheme.

Talking to this correspondent, Kujur said, "Arunodoi scheme is an endeavour to empower the women of the State and to provide financial support to the economically vulnerable families and the beneficiaries will receive a total benefit of Rs 830 per month."

"Priorities will be given to households that have widows/divorced female/unmarried female/separated females and any specially-abled member of the household; additionally, priority will be given to poorer families whether they are covered under the NFSA or not," he added.
