Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad staged a symbolic Protest in Nagaon

NAGAON: The district unit of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) staged a symbolic protest against the State Food and Civil Supply department for its alleged complete failure to control the unabated increase of prices in essential commodities as well as other petroleum products at Nagaon Natoon bazar on Thursday.

Over hundred agitators from the youth organization participated in the stir and strongly criticized the department concerned as well as the state BJP-led coalition government. During the protest, the protesters took out a funeral procession of the State Food and Civil Supplies department.

Pragjyotish Bonia and Debashish Das, respectively the president and secretary of the organization, stated in a press release that if once the prices of essential commodities increase, the government never tries to check price rise. They demanded adequate measures to curb the price hike in essential commodities as well as other petroleum products across the state.
