Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad protests Citizenship Act 2019

SARUPATHAR: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad (AJYP) and the people of Sarupathar in the Dhansiri subdivision protested against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019, on Saturday in the front of the Subdivisional office in Dhansiri subdivision in Golaghat district. The students’ body also warned the BJP-led Assam government as well as the Central Government that since people were expressing their anger in a non-violent manner, it was better not to provoke them with oppressive policy. The protesters said that they would not accept the Act at any cost.
