Asomiya Yuva Mancha protests against price rise of essential commodities in Demow

DEMOW: The activists of Asomiya Yuva Mancha (AYM), Demow Town Committee, burnt the effigy of State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass in Demow Chariali at NH-37 road on Wednesday in protest against price rise of the essential commodities on Wednesday.

The AYM activists protested with placards and shouted various slogans against the minister and the government. They demanded the minister’s resignation and strong steps to control price rise.

In the protest programme, AYM Demow Town Committee leaders, Jadumoni Kalita, president of Asomiya Yuva Mancha (AYM), Sivasagar district committee were present.
