ASRLM inaugurated mask-selling point made by SHG members in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: The Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM) on Sunday inaugurated a mask selling point made by SHG members of Kokrajhar block. The mask selling point was inaugurated at the main Tiniali Bazaar by DDM, NABARD, Kokrajhar district, Ratan Mani. BDO, Kokrajhar Development Block, Nironjoy Mushahary, DPM of ASRLM, Bichitra Birjya Narzary and other dignitaries were present at the inaugural ceremony of the mask selling point.

DPM of ASRLM, Kokrajhar, Bichitra Narzary said the masks would be sold at a minimum price starting from Rs 25 to Rs. 40 per mask. He said that till date, 30 members of 19 SHGs had produced 18,200 masks under Kokrjhar Development Block to cope with the scarcity of mask in rural areas. He said, “In Kokrajhar district, 102 members of 83 SHGs produced total 52,554 masks till today and 5,030 masks were distributed for free among poor people.
