Assam: Awareness programme on road safety held by Sootea police

JAMUGURIHAT: An awareness programme on road safety convened by Sootea police was held in the conference hall at Chatia College on Thursday.

Shyamal Jyoti Saikia, officer in-charge of Sootea police station, briefly described the general traffic rules to be obeyed by the commuters and riders as well. He also informed about the newly-launched Seva Setu web service of the Assam Police and its fruitfulness. He further added that there are 26 common services available in the web service for the common people. The awareness programme was addressed by Lonki Teron, police circle officer. The programme was attended by the principal of the college, teachers and students.
