RANGIYA: An accident that took place on National Highway number 27 led to the serious injury of one person. He was hit by a speeding vehicle while trying to cross the national highway.
The incident took place in Moranjan near Rangiya of Assam on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Mahabali Rajgarh belonging to Kauli in Tamulpur. According to the bystanders, the victim was hit by a red-coloured Mahindra XUV 300 while he was trying to cross the road. As a result, he received severe injuries and lay helpless on the national highway. The vehicle reportedly fled in the direction towards Nalbari soon after hitting the victim.
The local people informed the Rangiya Police immediately, who made the arrangements to shift the victim to a medical facility. Meanwhile, the search is on to nab the driver and the vehicle which committed the hit-and-run.
A huge boulder that fell and crushed three cars on the Kohima-Dimapur National Highway during a landslide in the midst of intense rains left two persons dead and three more hurt. On Tuesday evening, around five o'clock, the tragedy occurred in the Chumoukedima area of Nagaland. A large rock striking two cars one after the other is captured in a viral video of the incident. Both cars were severely damaged and crumpled. Another boulder can be seen in the video smashing into a car in front of the other two vehicles. On its left, a truck was struck by the car.
The impacted cars were moving towards Kohima. A car behind them had a dash camera that captured the collision. At the Referral Hospital in Dimapur, the injured are being treated. One person passed away immediately, and the other passed away from their injuries while being treated at the hospital.
