Assam: 1,138 join United People’s Party Liberal at Kumarikata in Tamulpur district

A total of 1138 new members from different political parties and social organisations, including BPF and Congress, have joined the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) at a public meeting and grand joining ceremony held at Kumarikata under the Darrangajuli block committee in the Tamulpur district today.

KOKRAJHAR: A total of 1138 new members from different political parties and social organisations, including BPF and Congress, have joined the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) at a public meeting and grand joining ceremony held at Kumarikata under the Darrangajuli block committee in the Tamulpur district today.

The new members were offered a warm welcome and felicitated by the party president and Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro, cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, BTR Executive Member, Ranjit Basumatary, and MLA Jolen Daimary. Remarkably, the people of Bodoland Territorial Region have chosen peace, the people of BTR have chosen United People’s Party Liberal, and accordingly, people are coming forward to join the UPPL party across the region, they said.

BTC CEM Pramod Boro said that the UPPL party was gaining momentum amongst the communities as the UPPL-led UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government in BTR has been working dedicatedly towards the welfare and uplift of the citizens since its inception. He said that the Bodoland region had witnessed peace and tranquilly amongst the communities, and subsequently, sustainable development is coming forward.

He said that the BTR government has initiated various developmental programmes that are benefiting the common masses across the Bodoland region.

He said that the BTR government is committed to working for the all-round development of the citizens in the days to come.

Boro welcomed the newly joined members to the UPPL family and expressed his hope that the UPPL party is getting massive ushering of unity and integrity in the days to come.
