GUWAHATI: In a bid to enhance the academic quality of teachers, Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam, affiliated to Vidya Bharti Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, successfully concluded 15 days of Acharya training classes. These training sessions were conducted at four different locations in Assam.

The training classes, held annually by Vidya Bharti, aimed at empowering teachers associated with Sankardev Shishu Vidya Niketans operating in Assam. The sessions took place from 5th to 20th July in Hojai and Sibsagar, and from 10th to 25th July in Narangi and Abhayapuri, witnessing participation from a total of 414 Acharyas.

During the rigorous 15-day program, the Acharyas were trained in a diverse array of subjects, including teaching methodologies, early childhood care and education, Shishu Vatika practices, physical-yoga, moral-spiritual education, Panchpadi teaching, the glorious history of India, Vedic Mathematics, English language, information and communication technology, and the National Education Policy 2020. Upon completing the training, the teachers underwent examinations to assess their newly acquired skills and knowledge. Subsequently, they were awarded certificates to acknowledge their successful completion of the training.

The training classes witnessed active participation from various regions, with 43 males and 59 females from Nagaon and Jorhat Vibhag attending in Hojai. In Sibsagar 22 males and 66 females from Lakhimpur and Sibsagar Vibhag. 36 males and 64 females from Guwahati and Tezpur Vibhag in Narengi, 47 males and 77 females from Bongaigaon and Nalbari Vibhag in Abhayapuri in the enriching training. The successful conclusion of these 15-day teacher training classes marks another step forward in the endeavour to foster excellence in education and nurture dedicated teachers for a brighter future.
