Assam: 30th Freshers’ Social of Lakhimpur Commerce College held

LAKHIMPUR: The 30th Freshers’ Social of the Political Science Department of Lakhimpur Commerce College was held on Thursday. A function was organized in the college which was chaired by Professor Kuldeep Narayan Dutta of the Political Science Department. The objective of the meeting was explained by Madhurya Gohain of BA IV Semester of the department.

‘Politica’, a handwritten magazine of the department edited by Parishmita Bora and Hangkha Daimari was released by Professor Sazzad Hussain, Head of the Department of English. The Principal of the college, Dr Lohit Hazarika, Vice Principal GK Chetry, senior professors Purabi Dutta Hazarika, Dr Sangeeta Borthakur Tamuli, Dr Arupa Dutta, and Aban Chandra Burman attended the freshers’ function as invited guests. Various cultural programmes and felicitation of newly-inducted students were also organized on theoccasion.
