Assam: 43rd Installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Doomdooma held

DOOMDOOMA: The 43rd installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Doomdooma was held at its venue at Azad Road with president Bibhu Das in the chair on Sunday, where the newly-elected president Bhupen Gohain and secretary Meghnath Bharadwaj were installed along with the new board of Directors for 2023-2024.

Past president of the club Mintu Upadhyay administered the oath to them in presence of Installation Officer (IO) Past Assistant Governor (PAG) Sanjib Gogoi. Dr Swaraj Bhattacharya, Immediate Past Assistant Governor (IPAG) inducted three new members to the club. They are Dr Nirban Gogoi, Anamriya Baruah and former Rotaractor Ambar Dutta.

The event was attended by Divisional LPG Head (DLH), Tinsukia Indane Divisional Office, Saulay Kumrah as the chief guest while former India team cricketer Sadanand Vishwanath and fitness trainer from Goa Sujit Rana, who have been training youngsters of Doomdooma in a special summer coaching camp organised by Doomdooma Cricket Academy, also attended the ceremony as guests of honour along with Assistant Governor (AG) Arup Kumar Goswami.

Rotarylets i.e. five meritorious sons/daughters of Rotary members, Rishitesh Deka, son of Dr. Pranab Jyoti Deka, Naman Agarwal, son of Bikash Agarwal, Ujjesha Bharali, daughter of Dr. Ranjit Bharali, Kalyani Imon Gogoi, daughter of Dr. Naba Jyoti Gogoi and Aiman Gaznavi, son of Tashdiq Gajanavi were felicitated in the meeting for their achievements.
