Assam: 47th annual conference of Sariman Sankardev Sangha, Morigaon in January

JAGIROAD: The 47th Annual Conference of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha, Morigaon District Branch will be held at Kholagaon, Kalbari under the patronage of the West Regional Branch of the Sangha this year. The event will be held on January 21, 22 and 23, 2024 at the late Padmeswar Bardoloi Samannya Kshetra. On the occasion, the traditional lights were lit by the district unit president Atul Chandra Das in the presence of hundreds of its members and office-bearers.

A meeting held today in this connection was inaugurated by District Secretary Diganta Mahanta, and the chief guest address was delivered by Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society Chairman Harendra Bora. The meeting was attended by Narayan Deka Vaishnav, district vice president, Tiwa Autonomous Council Executive Member, Mihiram Bardoloi, reception committee president, Mohi Kant Bardoloi and several others.

The much-awaited golden jubilee function of the West Regional Committee will also be held there at the same time, the officials said.
