DEMOW: At a time when the State Government is talking about various developments in the education system, the Headmaster of Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School has to take all the classes in six classrooms of the school.

According to sources, Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School under Demow Primary Education Block, which is situated in Borbam Gaon near Demow, was established in the year 1982. Gobin Taye is the Headmaster of Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School and he has to take all the classes as he is the only teacher in the school. Along with the classes, the Headmaster has to do all the administrative and officials works as well.

There are 80 students in the school. Earlier, there was an Assistant Teacher but in June the Assistant Teacher was transferred to another school. Gobin Taye, Headmaster of Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School, told media persons that he had informed Block Primary Education Officer and District Education Officer about the lack of sufficient number of teachers in the school. He had also submitted an application to the District Commissioner. Taye lamented that the authorities concerned only give assurances to appoint more teachers and improve the situation, but for the last two months, he has been running the school alone. Taye has appealed to the Chief Minister and State Education Minister to appoint teachers in the Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School at the earliest.
