DIBRUGARH: The Aam Adami Party (AAP), Assam unit, on Sunday launched village Yatra from upper Assam Dibrugarh to strengthen their party in village level.

A motorcycle rally was organised from Old High School Field, Dibrugarh on Sunday, where over hundreds of AAP supporters participated. The motorcycle rally was flagged off by AAP national council member and in-charge of AAP Northeast Rajesh Sharma.

Talking to reporters, Rajesh Sharma said, “Today is our 12th foundation day and in connection with AAP’s foundation day, the programme was launched. Our main objective is to strengthen our party at village level. To win in election, we want organization. So, we have launched this village Yatra to popularize our party in village level. We will strengthen our party at booth level.”

“Through this village Yatra we will reach to maximum people to know their problems and strengthen our party. Under Manoj Dhanowar in Dibrugarh constituency, we have a total of 35,000 members,” Sharma said. AAP leader Manoj Dhanowar said, “From today, we have launched the Village Yatra and it will go on for a month. In Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency, we will reach every village to know their problems. Our main objective is to strengthen our party.”

He said, “For the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, we will demand five seats in Assam. We are a partner of India alliance, and we will together fight against BJP in the upcoming polls,” Dhanowar said.
