Assam: Accident claims 2 in Bokajan

BOKAJAN: In a shocking incident, two persons were killed and another sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between a Maruti Alto car and a truck on the National Highway 39 at Khakrajan under Borpathar Police Station in Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday.

The Maruti Alto bearing registration number NL 06C 2698 which was enroute to Golaghat collided with a truck bearing registration number NL 01AE 4373, which was coming from the opposite direction. The mishap claimed the lives of the driver and a lady occupant in the Maruti Alto car. Another critically injured woman has been shifted to a hospital in Dimapur for treatment. The identity of the deceased and injured is yet to be ascertained.
