DHUBRI: The first anniversary of Dhubri Medical College and Hospital was celebrated with a day-long programme in the administrative building of the college on Friday. The celebration started with flag hoisting in front of Administrative Building followed by a cultural rally and voluntary blood donation camp.
The annual day meeting was graced by chief guest, Dr. Anjan Jyoti Choudhury, guest of honour, Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Dibakar Nath and invited guest, Kamal Kataki along with other renowned personalities, Dr. Debamoy Sanyal, chairman of Dhubri Municipal Board and members of Dhubri Medical College Demand Committee as well as Additional Superintendent, Dr. Harun Al Rasid.
Staff president and chairman of the organizing committee, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmakanta Kumbhakar delivered the welcome address. The first ever Annual Report of Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (2022-2023) edited by Prof. (Dr.) Mukul Patar was released on this day to showcase the college’s vibrant achievements both in holistic patient care and academic forum.
On this occasion, the college anthem penned by renowned lyricist Kamal Kataki and music composed by Paran Barkataki on the initiative of Member of Parliament, Pabitra Margherita was released.
Dhubri Medical College and Hospital has been on forefront in bringing out the literary potentialities of students as well as facilities and staff through an Annual College Magazine, “Ankuran”. The college magazine thrives to uphold the very meaning of the word “Ankuran” - the process of something coming into existence.
On the first anniversary of this institution, the college magazine was inaugurated by Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent, Dr. Ankumoni Saikia and the editorial team, led by Abhishek Nunia.
