DOOMDOOMA: A national integration tour was flagged off for Assamese youths, among who most were video creators, on September 3 this year. The tour, which was organized by the Laipuli Brigade camp of the Indian Army with the active cooperation of Kakopathar and Rupai Army camps, concluded on Wednesday.
In the interaction with media personnel at Mohanbari airport, Dibrugarh, during the closing ceremony of Operation Sadbhavana in the morning, Brigadier Kripal Singh Gill, Colonel Chandrashekhar Joshi, and other top-ranking officers were present. The participants travelled to Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and West Bengal and interacted with Army officers and civil administrators there. The team was accompanied by Major Nakul Verma of the 19th Grenadier. However, it appeared that the two places in Arunachal Pradesh were the main attractions for the tourists. “It was mesmerising to see the Jangi Paltan Museum at Tenga ahead of Lohit in Arunachal Pradesh. It is a unit of the Indian Army, 250 years old. Tiger’s skin, silver spoons, furniture of old design, and many antique pieces are kept there. Through it, we came to know the brightest history of our army,” said Dhurvajyoti Das, a participant in the tour.
