ASSAM: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 rocked Central Assam today, causing significant tremors in the Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts. The effects were felt across multiple regions within the state including Hojai, Cachar, Karimganj,

Nagaon and Morigaon; extending up to Sonapur near Guwahati. Although the quake had far-reaching effects, there are signs that the Upper Assam districts and western portion of the state may have suffered less. The status regarding probable property damage or injuries is currently uncertain.

At present, the consequences of the seismic event are under evaluation by authorities in order to gauge its impact. Although preliminary findings have not substantiated any noticeable harm, inquiries remain ongoing.
